Baton Rouge artist and engineer Neko Nemerov is definitely a breath of fresh air to say the least.
The Cleveland native had definitely caught the world off guard in his last video “Before I die “ , July 2021.
Where he and his mentor Tizzle (Howard Coney) were in full bucket list mode make up as old men. The video was shot by Dylan Verdun tv. A Louisiana born videographer on his way up himself definitely captured a feel good vibe with movie quality to say the least. Neko says “It was an idea that Tizzle and him came up with a few months back and we just ran with it.” He goes on to say “we just wanted to do something different , everyone is trying to be the baby this or baby that ,so we went the opposite direction.” Apparently it was a good idea as the positive remarks add up. Neko plans to do more videos that stand out in a different creative way in 2022. He was in a recording booth by age 8 where he was doing voice overs for puppet shows so he is no stranger to the booth and said he has a “loaded clip full music with insane versatility!” His professional music career started in 2019 under the mentorship of multi platinum producer Dez Dynamic ( “Molly”Tyga /Wiz Khalifa , “I got the hook up “ Master P) and multi platinum plaque recipient Grammy nominated songwriter Howard Coney (“Watch dis” Plies, “ Ballad of Bobby Ray “ B.O.B. ) Neko whose legal name is Nathan Geschke decided to use his nick name and his mother’s maiden name to form Neko Nemerov in respect to world famous Russian poet Howard Nemerov. Which oddly enough is the first name of his mentor and the last name of his mother. Born and raised in the west side of Cleveland Ohio he was one of three boys. Neko transplanted to Baton Rouge, Louisiana home to such artist as Kevin Gates , Lil Boosie and NBA Youngboy to be closer to his mother .On any given day he is either recording himself or some one else chasing there dream. The rapper says “if he doesn’t chase his dream he will be working for someone that did”.
The multi talented Neko and his multi platinum mentor promise to keep breathing fresh air and ideas into the music industry in the years to come.
