When is the Mickey 17 Max release date?
Mickey 17 will be available for streaming starting on Friday, May 23, on HBO Max. This will then be followed by its broadcast debut on HBO on Saturday, May 24.
Storyline
Mickey 17, is based on the novel Mickey 7, by Edward Ashton. The novel tells the story of a man who joins a space mission as an “Expandable” to carry out several dangerous missions. He dies repeatedly only to get cloned again and again, but the 17th version somehow survives. This leads to two identical Mickeys who live simultaneously, which is not allowed in the universe. From this point, things take a dramatic turn, creating conflicts around the icy colony planet Niflheim.
Cast
Robert Pattinson portrays both Mickey 17 and Mickey 18 on the planet of Niflheim, while Naomi Ackie plays Robert’s love interest, Nasha Barrdige. Mark Ruffalo plays a failing politician with sinister aspirations for the world, Kenneth Marshal. Additionally, Toni Collette played Ylfa Marshall, Kenneth’s cunning wife. The final member of the group is Steven Yeun, who portrays Timo, Mickey’s worldly companion.

Based on Edward Ashton’s 2022 novel Mickey 7, the film was written and directed by Bong Joon Ho (Parasite, Memories of Murder). After directing Chris Evans’ Snowpiercer for more than ten years, this was Bong’s most recent English-language film.
