Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos sued for allegedly failing to fits judge’s order to cancel student debt for individuals whose for-profit colleges have pack up.

Last month a court ruled that the Obama-era debt laws had to be enforced once over a year of delays by DeVos.

DeVos released an announcement in October saying that the department would now not be seeking to delay the rule.

However, Housing and Economic Rights Advocates (HERA), a california legal service group, has filed a suit alleging that the Department of Education is still assembling loans that it ought to have discharged.

The president of the National Student Legal Defense Network, a group serving to represent Hera, said in a very statement released Tuesday that delays are hurting thousands of students.
