Wuxi, China- The World’s New IoT and AI-Technology Hot Spot

As the hub of China’s internet of things sector, China’s Wuxi City has prioritized technological development to lead the city’s emerging strategic industries. According to the local government, the city’s IoT sector employs more than 180,000 people and encompasses 2,000-plus IoT companies. These companies generated a staggering 25% of China’s nation-wide IoT income. The growth began back in November 2009, when China’s State Council approved the Wuxi National Sensing Innovation Demonstration Park and marked the beginning of the city’s focus on the development of the IoT industry.

Highlighting Wuxi’s recent technological growth are two highly anticipated events; the 2019 World IoT Expo and the REWIRE: AI & Technology Conference, both of which take place in September 2019.

The 2019 World Internet of Things Exposition (WIOT) is set to take place in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, from Sept 7 to 10. The 2019 edition of the event is expected to receive more than 10,000 guests from industrial, academic and political circles who will explore the hottest issues related to IoT, share their experiences in the IoT industry and analyze the development trends of the industry.

The REWIRE: AI & Tech event series also serves Wuxi’s IoT industry, yet is focused on the future overlap of AI and Iot, Artificial Intelligence and their future impact on pillar industries. Taking place two-weeks after the IoT world expo, the upcoming REWIRE: Education event will examine AI’s influence on the education industry – specifically the advantages AI will offer to learners, the trajectory of school technology use, the impact on the multi-billion dollar education industry, and solutions for educational institutions to ensure future success & profitability in a rapidly changing business climate.

Both events employ top-notch guest speakers, including renowned Chinese IoT and artificial intelligence experts, CEOs from China’s leading tech companies, entrepreneurs & professionals, and industry specialists from top international educational institutions.
