Your Google Pixel is receiving a new Bluetooth feature that every Android phone requires

Google consistently strives to enhance the Android platform and its Pixel smartphone series. This frequently results in Pixels receiving new features ahead of many other Android devices. One of the most recent features being rolled out to the Pixel 10 and earlier models is a Bluetooth capability that all other Android phone manufacturers should pay attention to right away.

The latest update of the Pixel Troubleshooting app introduces a feature known as “Bluetooth diagnostics,” which serves its purpose as the name suggests (according to report). You can find this feature within the Settings app, allowing you to examine the connection status of any Bluetooth devices currently paired to your device to diagnose potential problems. While it does not provide detailed control over individual Bluetooth issues, it can assist in pinpointing overall connectivity problems if you are experiencing difficulties with Bluetooth connections.

Certainly, Google is not the pioneer in this area, as a comparable feature exists within the Diagnostics menu of the Samsung Members app for Galaxy devices. Likewise, the iPhone offers its own diagnostics mode that can be activated manually. However, the addition of this feature on the newest Google phones may help emphasize the importance of providing consumers with access to such tools, enabling them to determine whether the issues they are facing are something they can address themselves or if they need to reach out to the manufacturer for assistance.

How to verify Bluetooth diagnostics on a Pixel device

Once the new feature is available on your Pixel device, you can verify your Bluetooth connections in several ways. The simplest approach is to navigate to Settings > Connected Devices > Bluetooth and tap on “Bluetooth diagnostics.” This will give you a list of devices that are currently connected. If your device does not appear, you can select the “Can’t find your device?” option to explore additional choices.

Another method to access this new feature is by navigating to Settings > Device health and support > Bluetooth diagnostics. After selecting the device you wish to test the connection with, the diagnostics tool will perform its procedure and offer solutions for typical Bluetooth problems if you continue to face any issues. Naturally, Google prioritizes connections related to Pixel devices, but if you are not using a Pixel Watch 4 or Pixel Buds 2a, you can opt for the “Other device” option to locate your device manually.

In addition to Bluetooth diagnostics, you can also conduct Touch diagnostics, Charging diagnostics, and review other health-related information about your phone. However, these features have been accessible in the “Device health and support” menu for some time now.
