Fox News finds Joe Biden made an unannounced excursion to close by the convention center

Joe Biden made an unannounced outing Friday from his home in Wilmington, Del., to a close-by convention center.

The previous VP and presumptive Democratic nominee one at that point seemed to go through 2 hours and 20 minutes at the site.

Network pool correspondents saw a motorcade leaving Biden’s home at 1:32 p.m. ET.

Fox News – which was the first news association to write about the outing – saw a motorcade pull into the back entrance of the Chase Center in Wilmington at 1:50 p.m. A light Secret Service presence was noticeable outside the convention center while Biden was inside.

The previous VP’s campaign declined to address any inquiries regarding Biden’s excursion.

The presumptive nominee – who’s been working out of his Delaware home since the coronavirus pandemic cleared the country in mid-March – was last at the Chase Center on July 15, when he gave a significant address to reveal his recommendations to battle climate change.

The unannounced excursion comes as Biden holds 1-on-1 meetings this week with what’s accepted to be a short list of competitors for his running mate. Biden’s relied upon to report his running mate in front of the Democratic National Convention, which starts in 10 days on Aug. 17.

The campaign has not said if the meetings the previous VP is holding with his potential running mates are face to face or on the web. Speculation Biden’s Friday outing to the Chase Center could have been to permit him to meet a running mate candidate in person.
