NBA Playoff 2019: Clippers 129, Warriors 121, Warriors fail to finish off series

Unlike the regular season, the Warriors had plenty sources of inspiration.

They could finish off a playoff series early. They could rest and plan for the Houston Rockets for the following three days. They could keep themselves from squandering a 3-1 series lead similarly as they completed three years prior in the NBA Finals.

Much the same as the ordinary season, however, the Warriors still struggled to show the best version of themselves.

The Warriors worked through a 129-121 Game 5 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday at Oracle Arena. The Warriors can finish off the series in Game 6 on Friday in Los Angeles. Be that as it may, they could have rested in preparation for Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Houston Rockets on Sunday at Oracle Arena.

The Warriors superfluously prolonged a first-round series against a Clippers team that has overachieved all season. The Rockets had cemented their first-round series against Utah in Game 5 on Friday around 20 minutes before the Warriors and Clippers warned. However, the Warriors still played as though they had no compelling reason to win.

The Warriors allowed a familiar opponent to emerge once again in Lou Williams (33 points). They abruptly allowed Danilo Gallinari to rediscover his shooting stroke (24) subsequent to shooting 28.6 percent in the initial five games. Montrezl Harrell added 24 points

The Warriors had prolific nights in Kevin Durant (45 points), Stephen Curry (24) and Klay Thompson (22). That went to waste, though, with the Warriors conceding 54 points in the paint and 14 second-chance points.
