Apple has launched the new iOS 26.5 beta 1 build for the iPhone

iOS 26.5 beta 1 was released for developers earlier this week, and Apple has now provided an updated beta 1 build for testing.

The new beta 1 update for iOS 26.5 comes just days after the initial release.

If your iPhone is currently using Apple’s developer beta, you can install the new iOS 26.5 update today. A revised beta for iPadOS 26.5 is also available.

The first beta of iOS 26.5 was launched earlier this week. However, just a few days later, an updated beta 1 build of iOS 26.5 has been released.

Apple has released the new iOS 26.5 beta 1 build, identified as version 23F5043k, succeeding the previous version 23F5043g.

What prompted this new build? It is likely a response to unforeseen bugs that Apple preferred to address before the arrival of beta 2.

So far, initial testing has not uncovered any significant issues that we know of, but it may also pertain to security vulnerabilities that users might overlook.

To access the new beta, simply open the Settings app on your iPhone and navigate to General ⇾ Software Update.

Earlier this week, the original release introduced several new features, such as a ‘Suggested Places’ option in Apple Maps, RCS end-to-end encrypted messaging, and additional enhancements.
