The clinic currently holds a 4.9-star rating across more than 150 Google reviews. More than 3,000 patients have been treated since the clinic opened.
Meeting a Gap in Maine Healthcare
Maine has a well-documented shortage of primary care providers, particularly outside of Portland and Bangor. Patients in rural and suburban areas often wait weeks for appointments, and the visits they get are constrained by insurance limits and time pressure.
Functional medicine fills a gap for patients who want longer consultations, broader lab work, and a provider who treats the whole picture rather than a single symptom. Continued Growth Planned
Med Matrix plans to continue hiring through 2026 and into 2027 as patient volume grows. The clinic is also expanding its educational content, including a podcast and blog covering hormone health, gut function, autoimmune conditions, and nutrition.
