A global award is given to AP’s reusable satellite startup

The Global Student Entrepreneurs Awards final competition was held here in association with GITAM (considered to be a university) by the Andhra Pradesh chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO).

Six teams in all competed for awards in the finals. We Founder Circle co-founder Saurabh Deo, senior vice president of Decisions Technologies Pvt Ltd P Srinivas, and vice president of Effitronics Anvesh Dasari were present as judges to decide on the winners. The first prize went to the startup Taramandal Technologies’s team, which is developing a novel, reusable satellite that will not only launch payloads into space but also revolutionize their safe return to Earth. Kephi Innovations, a team that focuses on improving aquaculture and environmental sustainability, came in second.

The second runner-up was a startup called Rentyaar, which offers rental platforms for students to rent out their extra stuff. During the award ceremony, Vidhan Mittal, the president of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Andhra Pradesh chapter, introduced the organization as a peer-to-peer global network comprising over 14,000 prominent business owners across 206 chapters across 61 countries.
