According to the Detroit-based business, the money represents a “milestone round” and a critical turning point in the development of intelligent, net-zero emission buildings.

Maverix Private Equity led the series B financing, and partners Telus Ventures and current investor I Squared Capital also participated.

Kode Labs co-founder Etrit Demaj claimed that with the most recent fundraising round, the company is in “the best possible position” to fight climate change by increasing the energy efficiency of buildings. The money will be utilized to improve the AI technologies for building operations and to broaden the app’s user base.

The company’s enterprise platform, which serves as a one-stop shop for managing and integrating data from many building management systems and smart devices, such as EV chargers, occupancy sensors, and fire alarms, is the cornerstone of its goal.

The platform enables business managers to automate processes, optimize energy use, and reduce emissions.

“Users prioritize a seamless experience over managing multiple screens and platforms,” said Edi Demaj, Kode co-founder. “Our platform serves as the definitive operating system, offering complete command and orchestration capabilities.
