CJ Drisdom is Inviting Artists to be a part of Black History Month at the Gallivan Center

The Utah Black Chamber is excited to announce the Excellence in the Community Concert Series, taking place every Wednesday in February at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City, UT. The event will celebrate Black History Month and is FREE to the public.

Leading the charge for the event’s entertainment is none other than CJ Drisdom, owner/founder of Changing Lanes Entertainment Group and LakeHouse Studios.

CJ and his colleagues previously performed at The Gallivan Center in August 2022, where over 8,000 people attended their MoTown & Soul Tribute. Many performers from that event will be returning for this upcoming intimate Excellence in the Community Event.

The event will feature a diverse set of talented artists including Harry Lee and The Back Alley Blues Band, recently recognized as a leading blues band in Utah by City Weekly. Ray Franklin & the Junction City Blues Band, the sensational jazz artist out of Ogden, UT. The SLC Mass Choir, a diverse and multi-generational group founded by CJ’s brother, Tim Drisdom.

Fans may also expect to see a performance by CJ Drisdom & Friends (some of which include FREIDA, E R N E, SPIT that Fire, Courtney Kelly) who are either members of the Changing Lanes Entertainment Group, LakeHouse Music Group or close working companions of CJ’s.

The event’s line-up is looking great, but the roster is not yet full! We encourage upcoming artists to contact Changning Lanes Entertainment Group about this great opportunity.

The Utah Black Chamber is an award-winning multidisciplinary team with chapters all across the state. They are dedicated to improving the lives of black professionals and business leaders through engaging partnerships and advocacy for inclusive policies. Their core values include advocacy, equity, and education. Through their “Allyship” approach, they strive to create a thriving small business community and recognized professionals, keeping Utah as the state with the best economy in the nation.

Mark your calendars for Wednesdays in February 2023 at the Gallivan Center and come celebrate Black History Month with the Utah Black Chamber. See some of Utah’s most talented artists on stage, and get involved in the community.
