How David Johnson, Jr., AKA Iamdjjohnson, Started Off with A Dream and Turned It into Reality

Every kid on the planet has a dream to one day do something big. For some, it’s to be the President; for others, it’s to be the first man on Mars. For David Johnson, Jr., otherwise known as Iamdjjohnson, his dream as a kid was always to be a basketball player.

Basketball began for a young DJ in elementary school and continued throughout high school. While his peers would be hanging out, DJ would be in the gym at practice. With this determined lifestyle, his classmates soon began to see DJ as the “basketball guy.” They started to respect him for the fact that he could someday make it big.

Later in his career, DJ went on to play for Saint Philips College in 2016. After finding success, the young athlete decided that it was time to move on. He then transferred to Victoria College where he won the Male Athletic Academic award for having the highest GPA. Scouts were soon watching DJ, and he quickly began receiving new transfer offers. He ended up choosing Mount Mercy University the next year and began improving his skills even more.

Jumping from team to team garnered DJ the attention of many basketball fans, nationally and worldwide alike. Now with more than 50,000 followers on Instagram, DJ has become a light for the sports community and continues to inspire others with his story of hard work and dedication.
