The last time we “The Plug Pdx” checked in on Iakopo he just dropped his popular single, “Switch Up” released on all platforms and is yet another critical and commercial success. But that wasn’t enough for the talented artist. March 2020 not even a month later he came out with the new record “Diploma” and that is already a huge success.

Iakopo says this has been a year to remember and truly learn from despite the crisis and pandemic of the coronavirus he has experienced. Iakopo states that “this year has been a true struggle with not being able to do shows, we had to improvise as a artist, shows is the win for us because we get paid and we get to embrace the crowds and meet new people which open doors for more networks”

Skipping ahead to 2021 we reconnected with the recording artist to see what impact the pandemic has had on him.

• What have you been doing durning the pandemic and how has it impacted you as a recording artist?

“I’ve had a lot more time to write and record an working on videos it’s been good!!!”

• What are some recent songs and projects you have done?

“I had a recent single title “Closer to you” with Sean Paul , Mugeez from R2bs Drei Ross and another single titled “Fade Away” with OZ world and Wil Make-it

• How would you describe the music that you typically create?

“Issa a vibe I just got off of however I’m feeling at the time”

• What is your creative process like?
“I usually find the beat and vibe I’m feeling first then I like to freestyle vibe to it find some different melody’s and cadences and flow with it from there”
