KOTRA will assist Korean businesses expanding into Europe

SLUSH 2023, Europe’s largest startup conference, is a platform for innovative Korean entrepreneurs looking to go globally.

The largest startup conference in Europe, SLUSH 2023, will feature a South Korean pavilion, as revealed by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) on Wednesday.

To increase their awareness in the global market, Korean entrepreneurs can use the pavilion as a meeting place for one-on-one conversations and events with prospective investors and customers.

To set up the pavilion, KOTRA is working with the Gyeonggi Province Business and Science Accelerator (GBSA). Over 20 Korean startups will be showcased in the pavilion, which will be situated in the Slush event’s main hall.

More than two hundred venture capitalists, limited partners, support organizations, and startup representatives will be part of the Korean delegation at SLUSH 2023. The delegation’s main objective is to showcase advancements in digital healthcare, smart medical equipment, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and visual effects (VFX) for content.

Over 13,000 individuals are anticipated to attend SLUSH 2023, including investors, startups, and international media representatives. Starting on November 30, the event will take place over two days in Helsinki, Finland.

Since 2013, KOTRA has been a key player in assisting Korean companies. In addition to actively facilitating Korean companies’ participation in events like SLUSH, the agency has also given them financing and other resources.

In a related development, KOTRA held a “K-Startup Demo Day” in Finland not too long ago. This event assisted 15 Korean entrepreneurs’ entry into the European market and was organized in collaboration with the Helsinki K-Startup Center (KSC) and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Finland.
