Fans were crushed when it was declared in 2013 that the beloved mockumentary sitcom ‘The Office’ would be reaching a conclusion.

At the Edinburgh International TV Festival, NBCUniversal chairman of entertainment content Susan Rovner disclosed to Deadline that “whenever Greg Daniels wants to do one, we’re standing by”.

Ed Helms, Mindy Kaling, Craig Robinson, Ellie Kemper and Catherine Tate rounded out the all-star cast.

Fans were offended in 2019 when Netflix said the sitcom would leave the streaming platform. The show would now be able to be watched completely on NBC’s own streaming service, Peacock.

Despite the fact that the series didn’t leave until recently, fans actually shed tears for the show’s untimely departure.

One fan shouted at that point, “First they took Vine now they’re taking The Office; my mental health can’t handle much more of this.” Another added, “If The Office leaving Netflix, I’m leaving Netflix.”

“Everybody thought the world ending soon was a joke. The Office is getting taken off of Netflix. If you don’t think somethings up now then you’re dumb,” proclaimed one fan.
