On Nintendo Switch, the long-awaited “Sports Story” is suddenly available

Sports Story is finally available on Nintendo Switch after a long wait. The sequel has been anticipated by Golf Story fans for some time. As has been the case with a great number of games over the past few years, Sports Story was initially scheduled to arrive on the console in the year 2020. However, this was postponed.

Golf Story shares many of its characters with Sports Story. It is set after what happened in the previous game, and the sports, role-playing, and adventure elements are all present. In this one, you can still play golf, as well as tennis, soccer, BMX, and fishing—not surprising given that this is an RPG. You can also just hang out at the mall or explore abandoned ruins and dungeons.

Last month, Nintendo said that Sports Story would come out in December, and that was true. To conclude a week of bite-sized indie game updates, the company announced the sudden release of the latest title from Sidebar Games. Among the other unexpected Switch releases this week were the dreamy puzzle game Melatonin and Mortal Shell. Additionally, Nintendo revealed that the console will receive a Risk of Rain remake, the adorable-looking The Gecko Gods, and the absolutely delightful dog photography game Pupperazzi next year.
