How DJ Yemi Is Paving His Own Way in The Music Industry

Hailing from West Virginia, DJ Yemi has been making moves in the music industry to put himself and his team in a position to win. The upcoming talent has held shows for some of the music industry’s biggest acts like Travis Scott, Snoop Dogg, and Big Sean to name a few.

Despite having a background in Pop, Hip-Hop and Go-Go, DJ Yemi is able to span a vast number of genres. This allows him to take any stage and bring energy to any performance. Something not many DJs are able to do.

Yemi’s first exposure to music came as a young boy when he sang hymns at his church. His mother also fostered his growth as a musician by singing throughout Yemi’s childhood. These early moments played a big part in who DJ Yemi is today.

DJ Yemi started getting into DJing while in college. Since most college parties are driven by music and alcohol, Yemi decided to focus on the music aspect. What started as a hobby playing music from iTunes, has now turned into a full-time mission.

DJ Yemi has held shows in nightclubs all across West Virginia. He’s also gone beyond the borders of his own state and has held shows as a guest in other regions as well. A major highlight of his career was being named the #1 DJ in West Virginia by the Morgantown Magazine.
