PlayStation 5 would now be able to play Skyrim at 60fps because of a new mod

Skyrim fans with access to a PlayStation 5 would now be able to join their Xbox Series X/S brethren and give Bethesda’s ageing fantasy RPG somewhat of a graphical lift up to 60fps courtesy of a recently released mod – and it’ll work with Trophies empowered as well.

The Skyrim mod being referred to can be found in all its 60fps glory in another video presented on YouTube by mod creator Wrighton – and in the event that you like what you see, all you require do to activate 60fps on PlayStation 5 is download and empower the mod through Skyrim’s in-game mod menu, at that point either boot up a current save or start another game.

It’s significant that the mod is accessible on PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro as well, despite the fact that performance upgrades will obviously change by machine.

What makes the mod additional special, however, is that it very well may be run without disabling Trophies. Essentially download and empower the mod as above, start another game or save, at that point quit back out to the main menu. From that point, it’s just a matter of disabling or deleting the mod through the proper menu, after which you’ll find any game you start actually runs at 60fps.

Do recall that Trophies will stay inaccessible if different mods are running, and that you’ll have to repeat the process to empower 60fps each time you boot up Skyrim once more.

Xbox One X/S proprietors wanting to perform comparable magic on their own consoles should look at Digital Foundry’s new run-down of the options accessible on Microsoft’s machines.
