Georgia just made its debut appearance at one of the biggest technological shows in the world, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Under the state’s “StartUP in Georgia” campaign, the Georgian delegation, led by Deputy Economy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili, highlighted the nation’s expanding startup ecosystem during the event in Las Vegas.
During a panel discussion titled “Unlocking Opportunities: State Strategies to Support Startups and Enhance Investments,” Nadareishvili stated, “This is a significant step in showcasing our vibrant startup ecosystem on a global platform.” He also emphasized the government’s objective of using infrastructure development, financial access instruments, and other technical support to stimulate the economy through knowledge and innovation.
Startups from Georgia, such as Baasi, Elven technology, Widgera, Stori AI, and Klipy, showcased their technology to international leaders and investors. In the meanwhile, the delegation met with CES Vice President John Kelley and Consumer Technology Association President Kinsey Fabrizio to talk about potential future collaboration.
“We can promote our ecosystem to international stakeholders by participating in global tech events like CES,” Nadareishvili said, highlighting reforms that make Georgia a regional hub for entrepreneurs.
The premiere was hailed by the Ministry as a significant accomplishment in advancing Georgia’s innovation sector globally.
