Gaylord Benefits and Uses

Gaylord boxes provide a number of different benefits to consumers, retailers, and manufacturers. For one, they are heavy, strong boxes that are able to handle almost anything that is put inside them. It is inexpensive to manufacture these boxes and they are also an eco-friendly solution due to the fact that they are made out of corrugated material.

Gaylord boxes are mostly used for moving, storage, and shipping, although they are used as well for display purposes. When you visit a local grocery store, you will most likely see bagged products or fresh produce displayed inside of Gaylord boxes.

The reason why Gaylord boxes are ideal to use for various purposes is due to their construction. Corrugated cardboard is used to make Gaylord boxes. Corrugated cardboard is a lightweight, strong, and stiff material comprised of three layers of Kraft brown paper. This kind of paper resists bursting, splitting, and tearing. Kraft paper during the production process is crimped and then glue to make corrugated cardboard. Then it is cut and folded for making boxes out of.  This results in boxes that are flexible, tear-resistant, and durable. An added benefit is that using corrugated cardboard is easy to replace and inexpensive.
